On the internet, your IP address can be your passport, your ID, and other forms of credentials online. Unfortunately, this also means that it’s your IP addresses fault when you get blocked from a website. There are a number of reasons you could be blocked, mostly related to firewalls. For example, it could be your local firewalls settings that have been set to ban users on the network to access certain websites with a specific, or range of IP addresses. It could also be that a websites has been set to block your IP, be it because of your specific online reputation (ie, spam), or that the website blocks all users from your region. It’s possible to change IP address for a Mac and PC, and alter these settings.
